Rights managed images (called RM) are photos which have been licenced under a useage license called Rights-Managed. This means that you ,  as the customer will negotiate the usage of the  images and the time period and place that the photographer will give you a rights managed license for the particular image you want to use. 

Many of the images on the site are available under this type of license. IconicNorthwest does not allow the use of the photography for any personal or commercial use without express permission.
